Online Screenplay Editor: 8 Block Types, Auto Formatting, PDF Export | Narracore

Narracore is a professional screenwriting and narrative-analysis workbench. Open the full structured screenplay editor in your browser without signing up; register to save projects to the cloud, browse them page by page, keep version history, and run AI screenplay analysis (single-scene and multi-scene filmability, with evidence-anchored reports). A separate MCP formatting service, narracore.app, formats screenplays and exports PDFs from AI clients such as Claude or ChatGPT, using the same layout engine as this site.

Frequently asked questions

Is Narracore free? Do I need an account?
The core editor is free and needs no account: open your browser and write, drafts stay on your device. Signing up (invite-only beta) unlocks cloud saving, version history, script statistics and AI filmability analysis; guest drafts migrate in one click.
How do I format AI-written text into a proper screenplay?
Two ways: smart-paste import into the editor at narracore.cn (recognizes common Chinese, Japanese and English screenplay formats and converts them into eight screenplay blocks), or hand the text to an AI client such as Claude / ChatGPT, which calls the narracore.app MCP formatting service to output a print-ready PDF directly.
Is my writing used to train AI models?
No. Narracore never uses your creative content to train models, and never shows it to other users; analysis calls go to our model provider in mainland China (Alibaba Cloud Bailian), which officially promises never to use your data for model training. The data is yours: export your work anytime, and closing your account deletes everything (see the privacy policy).
What is the difference between Narracore and narracore.app?
narracore.cn is the browser-based screenwriting and narrative-analysis workbench (editor, settings management, statistics, AI analysis); narracore.app is a separate MCP formatting service that AI clients such as Claude / ChatGPT call to format rough text into standard screenplay form and export PDFs. Both share the same layout engine.
